Mr. Gagne has spent more than twenty years helping clients avoid problems, minimize risk, and defend their rights in courts and administrative hearings across the country. A former Air Force JAG trial attorney, he has continued representing service members from every branch since entering civilian practice in 2005. He serves with the Veterans and Military Affairs Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center.
Greg has tried hundreds of cases and administrative hearings. That depth of experience allows him to adjust strategy in real time and to recognize when to press forward in court and when a negotiated resolution serves his client best. His cases have involved sexual assault, drug and violent crimes, fraud, employment disputes, separation boards, retirement benefits, veterans’ issues, and business litigation. He has won multiple full acquittals for military clients worldwide and protected millions of dollars in retirement benefits.
Civilian clients rely on Greg to guide them through disputes, compliance matters, HIPAA issues, and liability concerns. He has advised small and mid-sized companies throughout Connecticut in industries ranging from healthcare to restaurants to telecommunications. Many of these relationships begin before a dispute escalates, with clients seeking his counsel as soon as a problem starts to surface. That same proactive, preventive approach informs his work with service members, where anticipating issues before they spiral into career-ending consequences is often the key to success.
Greg holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. He is admitted in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, and in military courts worldwide.
