Gagne, Scherer & Associates is headquartered in Chicago. The firm represents service members at installations across the United States and overseas. In any UCMJ case, most prosecution and defense work is done by phone, text, email, and electronic file transfer. Civilian and uniformed attorneys travel to appear in person for boards, Article 32s, pre-trial hearings, and courts-martial.

Our firm has defended service members in courts-martial and military criminal investigations for more than two decades. Our practice focuses on defending the most serious allegations under the UCMJ, known as “covered offenses” and prosecuted by the Office of Special Trial Counsel. We also represent members in separation boards, all investigations, and UCMJ cases not within the definition of covered offenses.
