Since starting Gagne, Scherer, & Associates, Mr. Gagne has defended military personnel in the Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army, and Coast Guard.  He has represented clients throughout the United States, as well as Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.  Please feel free to review some of Mr. Gagne’s success stories under “Representative Cases” on our website.

Mr. Gagne has handled thousands of military matters and defended hundreds of courts-martial.  He has provided continuing legal education presentations in military law to other attorneys through the West Legal Education Center.  Mr. Gagne was also a speaker at an annual convention for the American Association of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL).  He regularly works with nationally renowned forensic experts and includes them as part of the firm’s trial team whenever their expertise can benefit his clients.

In addition to handling military cases worldwide, Mr. Gagne is a partner at Halloran & Sage, LLP.  Halloran & Sage is a full service law firm with Connecticut offices in Hartford, New Haven, Westport, Middletown and New London.  The firm also has an office in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Gagne received a B.A. in Political Science at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he was co-captain of his college football team. Immediately after completing his undergraduate studies, he entered law school at the University of Connecticut, where he was a member and editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
